Interesting thread but I'm but confused.
How does 12 BHP less relate to going 0.5 mph faster?
Was there sumfink funny going on in the scooterotica dyno room?

Amazing speeds achieved there, Im wondering what braking systems they use and how quickly they stop? I couldnt imagine going that fast on a road with other traffic on the road as well I would be petrified!

darrel taylors race scooter achieved 118 mph at this meeting as well

Indeed it did....think I'd fill me pants at that speed! Lol

Interesting result also as that showed circa 2bhp less than Eric's bike, and illustrates how bad full frame aerodynamics are! Cut downs are the future! Lol

Darrells could have done better if it hadn't ran out of gearing.

So potentially the 29bhp Super Monza engine in Darrell's chassis could have broken 120!
Awesome!

WELL DONE again to jimmy ,a great sport,we had great banter over the few days at elvington me,eric, ian, mark, andy and jimmy+wife and kenny
we spent the days helping each over out discussing gearing and methods of attacking the mile course which was all about gearing or the lack of it as well as catching the gusts of wind or not which made times fluctuate a little as well as gauging the correct start point to attain the correct rpm over the line ,too early meant the motor overrevved for too long and power faded too late meant the rpm didnt peak and speed not achieved

there was a let down as jimmy is not a man of his word :( ;)

he said if he cracked 100 he would ride the scoot doing a naked mile but didnt honour it

Is there a website where all the results can be viewed so we can see how everyone did?
