With a standard PX200 gearbox, albeit with a T5 4 gear, what gearing would you suggest to take advantage of the revs, with say a suitable expansion pipe. Woukld it just be a case of changing the clutch housing??

Alright jack, I've read the link you posted n it mentions that the 22 tooth gear can be fitted with a standard 65 tooth primary drive is this the combination that you've used, if so have experienced any problems?

With or without the T5 4th, I have always fitted the 22 tooth clutch in any Malossi 210. They are tuned for power at the top of the rev range, at the expense of the torque. I have never fitted the 21 tooth with the 65, that would be a bit too slack for my liking.
With the 22 tooth gear the same 210 will actually be slightly faster top end than before with the 23 tooth.

So just to confirm its the sip drt 22 tooth clutch gear you use with a standard piaggio 65 tooth primary drive?

The DRT one is straight cut teeth! The standard COSA2 Piaggio 22 tooth fits the 65 tooth ring gear. I think the 22 tooth is originally from a PX150

How many miles are you getting out of a 22 tooth cog before you need to change it jack I've heard they wear quick with this set up?

Where did you hear that? Do you have yours or anyone else's picture of a worn one? If SIP and Worb5 both say they fit and they don't there must be plenty of examples out there
I could understand with the 21 tooth though!

To be fair I've heard that as well, pretty sure the germans were running these years ago, and did hear issues arising, but never tried so can't really say!

I asked Harry Barlow about that arrangement n he mentioned that its known for wearing quickly, I thought i'd ask what your experience was first before I considered trying it. Do you know how many miles your getting out of your 22 tooth clutch gears?

I have not seen or heard a bad word about them. The one in mine has been in at least 3000 miles. Others I have done must be more by now. Mines a highly tuned Polini barrel so, I only put it in to try it and it went so well I don't want to take it out. With the 22 It's now pulling just over 8000 rpm in 4th on the flat. And I'm the size of 2 normal people!
I could probably get away with just putting in a T5 4th but if it is worn next time I split it I'll might put in a DRT 22 straight cut with Polini 64 ring and keep std gearbox.
