Made by Protech, they've been around for years, at least 13 (see above) with Lambretta shocks

Doah.....Feel a bit of a numpty now.Got a tad confused with the name Pro....Don't know why,but thought that may have been PM. That sounds good at £150.May look at one of those for the GP build over the winter.Having said that,It's bizarre that many of us have several shocks lying around [I've got five]and still want a different one

As for the pices of em,I think upto £150 is the limit to be honest......How much shocker do we actually need? If you can get Jap R1/R6 ones built up for you for under £150,then I think some are having a laugh regards price. Some I've seen in dealers or the mags look weak at the top, especially when you think that some of us aren't as light as we used to be,ride 2 up and carry enough luggage for a six month rain forest adventure.

R1 shock transformed mine, done a few now, paid anything from 5 quid to 30 quid from ebay, then its only £35ish for bushes and spring, money well spent.

I got mine from Chiggy but went for his 180lbs spring.

If Im not mistaken the standard Protech spring is a about 220lbs and a bit hard for some.

Nope, for whatever reason, this spring is not hard, it can be set to bounce all over the place if you so wish, or set for a really great ride on a firmer setting.

It's a beautiful shock.Ray was showing me one the other week and it looked lovely.British built and they have been developing it for a while.Bit pricey for me though, but I hope they turn out to be a good piece of kit.
