Sorry forgot to say my lead is fitted under the spark plug

If you have your speedo to read MPH and not KPH yout temp is showing in Farenheight! So 270 farenheight is about 130 celsius.
Where did you mount the sensor as that will also make a difference.

Edit. Just seen you mounted under spark plug. So in short if your reading 270 degrees farenheight (130 celsius) under the plug , from what i've read i think thats well under the danger mark. If you are reading 270 degrees celsius something is seriously wrong!!!!!

Yes my speedo is set to MPH...... phew!

Im glad I posted now and thank you Nelson PK for pointing that out cos I have been worrying about the temp loads and riding with my hand over the clutch lever just in case.
