Is the fkywheel rubbing in the puck up?
You will know because the end of it will have ware marks.
Can happen due to a twisted crank or f@@ked bearings

Green (LT coil) needs to be 450 to 500ish ohms

It's a varitronic????

Although varying a fair bit with the temp, your coil readings are still within the spec given.
You have disconnected the ignition cut out wire to discount that being the problem?

Yes it is a varitronic ignition.... sorry for being thick but which wire is the cut out wire, Is that the red/blk that goes to the coil?

No it's the loom green, this joins to the red/black at the CDI.

to check if the flywheel is rubbing get a marker pen and cover the pick ups with ink. re fit flywheel and fire up the motor, if yo have a wibily woberly crank then you will see where its been catching.. have you tryied a different flywheel ?, has your flywheel been beefed up i.e welded up boss and have you lapped the flywheel onto the crank with a bit of grinding paste ?. has the weight band moved ?. i hope you/we get to the bottom of this. stick with it ;)

Quick update and another question please.

I was checking for movement in the flywheel to see if when I turned the engine over that the flywheel ran true and to the naked eye with the flywheel still tightened it appears that it is ok, however I grabed the fins of the flywheel and noticed that if I pulled the flywheel from side to side I could feel a very slight movement in the bearing, at least that's how it feels to me. It's not much movement but I do not know if there should be any at all.

So that's the next question... Should there be any lateral movement in the bearing?

Cheers

Thought I'd update this thread...

After finding bothe the mag side bearing and drive side bearing were worn. I stripped the engine and rebuilt it. Feeling very chuffed with myself I have been riding it about for a few miles and it seemed ok, that was until today when it started playing up again and misfiring.

I did the normal thing and changed the plug and it then ran fine?

Any other ideas most welcome.....

Cheers

have you taken the green wire out of the cdi unit? then run it, if it runs fine, it will be your ignition wiring in the headset, put the green back in, run it and see if it still misfires? iv just had similar problems wi my casa 185. i thought it was the stator, but if it starts and runs etc, i think you can discount the stator, as your readings are fine?
