yes they are lazer cut .its 4mm stainless steel if i did any more id do it in 2mm ss as 4mm was a b@5t@rd to bend the right shape

they only cost 50 quid to have made .which i thought was very cheap but id done the autocad drawing myself i suppose all they do is load that into the lazer cutter and it does the rest .
just been out in the shed got head cowl,exhaust and flywheel on thought id put some juice in and start her up why is it never that easy 20 mins of kicking she wouldnt start just kept poping/back firing doing my nut in then found i hadnt tightened flywheel up and woodruff key was broke fecking scooters

Pretty good £50, you will only have used a small area of the sheet they will have been running at that time, what tends to happen ( typically ) with small items is to nest as many items and run a full sheet off depending on complexity of nested patterns. Your autocad would simple be turned into a DXF ( a code the laser will understand )they only cost 50 quid to have made .which i thought was very cheap but id done the autocad drawing myself i suppose all they do is load that into the lazer cutter and it does the rest .

Hi martin loving this, i have the same front springs does the powder coating not effect the tension when heated andmartinr wrote:

hi den no the power coating process didnt seem to affect the springs as for getting um off there is a lock nut on the end of the central rod undo that with a spanner (i think its 13mm or 15mm push it between spring coils) then the top bit unscrews from rod and the spring comes off
not as easy to get back on
i had to compress the spring with cable ties to get it back together

I'm a Vespa man, but the work that has gone into this project is immense. I can totally appreciate what is going on here. The effort, knowledge and patience is inspiring. It really puts my winter project to shame & I must be more patient, but I'm like a kid in a sweet shop & rush everything.
