Difference between Racepipe and Tourpipe ?

Anything related to Lambrettas... ask tech questions, post helpful info, or just read and learn.

The header is joined like this on the newer ones and peak power is around 6500 then drops sharply so you need higher gearing to pull higher speeds. Image and the tailpipe like this Image So basically with SX 200 gears at roughly 10 mph per 1000 revs you would be peaking at 65 mph . Ian would be the man to speak with. ;)

Mine is exactly the same as that wack....Im using an Indian gp200 gearbox with a 46/19 setup and it goes like the stink 2 up...pleased with it. When I had the sx 200 gears with it, it was crap up inclines or head wind so changed it. Thats why I was thinking of putting the taffy pipe on my Penguin scoot as the Franspeed race always sounds like its thrashing it at the same speed as the scoot with the taffy on.

I put the Taffy pipe on and it runs lovely. It doesn't have the same poke on acceleration as the Franspeed Race, but the ride and top end is smooth as :) I prefer this set up far better......I like to cruise rather than race....it must be an age thing....lol :D
