ive got a sito plus, it sounds like im dragging a side panel behind me so i went back to standard. i do prefer the box pipes but i know the taffy pipe on a ts1 is great so a taffy is the way to go if i go that route

mrs cezeta had a sito plus, we changed it for a sip road and could not believe the differance so im tempted subject to 100 pound to throw away

however good news, i decided to swap the carb as i had spotted it was a spaco and im anal enough to put a genuine one on. on fiddling i found it had a p range air screw. strange as my mate had the opposite problem on his p200.

anyway its sorted it out and has cured the guttlesness at low revs at least

Mongo wrote:The pipe i've got on my T5 is the taffspeed goldline . Best of both worlds really. Good torque and allows good rev on. Another bonus is that you can also use the main stand and carry a spare. WSP are selling them again on ebay although the price seems to have risen alot in comparison to what they were selling at about a year ago. Mine is an 'oldish' pipe but is solid. I'm unsure of the build quality of the new pipes. The old ones were bulletproof. Best pipes for T5's in my opinion.
To all scooterists,

The exhausts that WSP are selling are copies of my Taffspeed Goldline exhausts being made in Vietnam!
They do not perform the same as my old UK made systems.
Of the systems I have dynoed for owners I have found them to rev higher with less torque but is a cheap option to that of my earlier systems still made by JL Exhausts.
As to the life expectancy who knows?

Just letting you all know that I have nothing to do with WSP (Welsh Scooter Parts)
Shaun Martin & Dave Stone who run WSP previously worked for me at Taffspeed!
This was prior to me requiring a triple heart bypass operation back in February 2010 when I closed Taffspeed down for the duration of my recovery!

Best regards to all,

Hi Mark,
It was good to meet you & Martin at Lincoln, also meet many I haven't seen for ages!
I still have a workshop where I work on scooters sorting Jetting etc on the rolling road.
So still being kept busy making ends meet, it's no where as busy as when Terry was still alive!
Still have Terry's old 90SS to rebuild one day, 18bhp from a cast iron ET3 cylinder was not bad in the mid 1990's where as Martin's Falk is a 38bhp monster!

If you are down this way in Newport give me a call.

Take care,

Ian Frankland
