That's the problem with buying stuff online. If it needs repairing or replacing, the cost of postage can be more than the cost of repairing of fettling it locally. It's also amazing how helpful staff can be when you dump faulty/ not fit for purpose goods they've sold you on thier counter on a busy Saturday afternoon. However it doesn't make musch sense financially if you live 200 miles away! :fb:

Looking to go tubeless myself. Is anyone using the lambretta re-store split tubeless rims

If the item is faulty then the retailer must reimburse the return postage costs or arrange to collect, it's in Distance Selling Regulations, and is law.

Yep have also tried the Lambretta Restore rims,love the fact that they are split rim configuration as you can fit your own tyres and i loved the way they look,but i found that they kept going down (O-Ring issue/Groove/owner )and in the end i got fed up with them going down over time so i then switched to the AF Rims(see earlier post)i then settled on the SIP Rims,which im well happy with

You are totally correct! However it can prove irrisistable to many of us to spend an extra £20 or so to have some duff kit we've bought on line engineered locally to get a scoot back on the road now. Rather than wait weeks for a dealer to pull thier finger out. It's not right, and we are shooting our self in the foot by doing it. But that's human nature!

I use these rims and have never had a problem with them.

I'm not sure but I don't think he's doing them anymore possibly due to the cost of producing them.

I'm using patron split alloy rims, ok so far
