if you can get a filter to work then why would you not want to use it, even to stop you paint going yellow and your cloths stinking. i had a good play and could not improve on the breath sweet where as just fitting a gp200 rubber to my open carb was like turning the choke on even before the filter went on. the breath sweet allowed my open carb to stay with the same jetting and made 1bhp difference on the dyno which is at full whack which in my mind is irrelavent
that north coast road to eurospain i was running open carb and im sure i was running 25% rain water and grit. never again
