Well I didn't know that, I stand corrected ;) I wish more online sellers knew this as it's not just scooter shops that are guilty, I'm also amazed how many walk in shops don't have a clue either

Also, they have, probably as the only company in the UK, this ridiculous "handling fee" of 20% should you need to return something... What's up with that!????
That's b@11@x, the law of the land says it is illegal to charge a restocking fee. It is also illegal to make you pay for return postage unless they state it in their T & Cs. It means that if you buy something mail order and you return it under the distance selling regs they have to refund you the original price, the postage cost you paid and more often than not the return postage costs. If I ever get shoddy goods which is quite often these days, then it goes back for a full refund. Don't tolerate shite dealers!

Called them the other day to ask why I hadn't been refunded for these parts, conversation went something like:

"Hi, I'm Victor, just wanted to check why I haven't been refunded for the parts I returned a while ago yet?"

"- Oh, I'm sorry, we haven't received anything."

"How do you know that, do you know my name?"

"- Yes, it's Victor, sorry, we haven't received anything."

"Don't you need my surname to check, and perhaps double check with the computer..? "

"- Ok what is it?"

"Arthursson"

"- Sorry, there hasn't been anything for Victor Watson lately"

"But I returned it 2 months ago..."

"- Well, sorry, nothing. Make a Royal Mail complaint."

That was it. It took 45 seconds top. Probably they will read this and come back quickly to me now, for once, but I'm afraid that my Allstyles days are over, which is a pity because they stock most of the Vespa stuff you can need and of mainly good quality.

In addition to that, I work in client services, let be in advertising, and it plainly doesn't exist that I don't return a call from a client or potential new client should they stay in contact.

If I or my team was as slow responding as Allstyles are (when they do so which is rare), some heads would be rolling within the agency and people would have lost their jobs.

If you are truly that busy that you can't pick up the telephone, return a call or answer on a mail, then, if you have business sense, you might want to consider hiring more people to be able to increase your sales...

We should all know the good and not so good dealers by now.

Scooter Restorations always stand out with parts, prices, delivery and general good service.

I've also found MB to be good but expensive.

Never bought from Allsyles but they seem expensive bit like Cam Lam. I've thought about getting one of those half cowls off Allstyles.

Help the local dealers is good if you have that option.

I agree Scooter Restorations, MB etc are great, you would think in this day and age where shops need the business & money, that they would bend over backwards for you - the customer. Seems its not always the case with a small few, their loss

I use allstyles for vespa parts and order online rather than by phone.
I've never had a problem, delivery has been quick and the quality of parts has been much better than another well known company that specialise in mail order parts where i have had very, very, poor quality components.
Can't comment on the service on the phone or returns as i've never had to return anything.

I too sent a part back to Allstyles, they didn't receive it. It don't look good on them. I didn't send it recorded though.
I've been trying to get something changed last week, they still haven't sent it.

Does recorded require a signature on delivery or is it optional?

I've had a few recorded packages just left on my doorstep recently and I've been in when they did it.
