without changing hub studs to fit the original innocenti split rim?
what does these hub studs do and why cant the sip rim sit on regular studs?

SIP studs are longer as they have a thicker web which gives a deeper/wider wheel well which in turn makes tyre fitting and removal easier. So once the longer studs are fitted you can fit SIP rims and if required, a standard rim, but nylocs are better suited for the standard rims, as Mark says, as dome nuts will bottom out on the longer studs well before tightening the rim.

The centre of the SIP rim is cast much thicker to allow a deeper well to be made to make tyre fitting easier but that means you need to fit longer studs that are supplied with the rim.
Re the price I thought the SIP ones were around the same price as the re-store ones.

Yes, thats what i saw, I thought of skipping the dome nuts anyhow and have nylocs instead.
Does the domed one offer any advantage or is it just looks?

You won't be able to fit standard nylocs to the SIP rim, you need 12mm AF whereas standard M8 are 13mm

I see, more reasons to skip tubeless then, if not the scootrs ones would do, they do fit any rim without mod.

Why would anyone fit dome nuts to any wheel rim, rather than nylocs?
