Tone, your a talented man 8-)
When i passed my bike test in the early 90's i sold my Lamb chop and bought a hardtail Z750 TWIN with ape hangers . Its was marginaly more comfortable to ride than the Lamby but my kidneys decided that i needed rear suspension.....
This led to a succession on heavily modified Zeds, the last one getting a GSXR motor graft
Which led me to my obsession with tuning Gixxers
This one was a Bandit 6 frame ,Z butt seat, GSXR1100 motor with 1216 big bore, 30bhp Noz kit, Busa front end, Spondon swingarm

When the motor went pop i rebuilt it as a 1340 and grafted it into a GSXR750 frame, 636 seat/subframe, Busa front end with big fook off yokes, 10" over Busa swingarm with 2lb Noz bottle and quickshifter built in
Right handers were abit of a problem

At the moment ive just got the Blade project and these 2 (91 GSXR 7/11 and a K3 GSXR1000) and 2 Lambrettas in the garage.......
I need a bigger garage !!!!!

nice bikes, closest I got to a fighter was a big ol Zed thou, it looked totally mint and original, but was internally tuned to hell, with dyna programmable ignition etc

even managed to get a set of standard pipes and ripe the silencers aaprt and rebuild them to free up the flow a little

fast as hell, and always surprised the local tupperware pilots, and ridden correctly I could get through the twisties at a fair ol pace too

my V-max was amazing in a atraight line, but 25mpg, 400 miles per back tyre, and 65-90 mile tank range was rather annoying LOL
heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it does fail, hit them with it!!!

Many moons ago i had a blast on a mates Max with a stage 7 set up......rapid aint the word
Shame the chassis got tied in knots and the brakes were pathetic
Steelheart and Taylormade seem to have the Max market sewn up

All my mates cant work out why ive turned my back on the fighter scene for prehistoric shopping trolleys
We do get some looks when on on the S2 and me mucker's out on this tho
He's got this up at this years NEC show
