its only 19.5bhp with 15lbs of torque which is not enough to pull lazily when you want to.
what is the true out put of a standard rb ?
Mine was 21.5bhp and 18lb/ft torque on Diablo dyno with a franspeed race pipe and august 8000 and a TMX35, after a jetting session.
I would assume that my RB22 has something similar to this figure as its almost the same set up, but i have to say that i don't need or want 30bhp if 20/21 can give me this much of a grin factor. I have a malossi221 that is supposed to have 24 or so bhp and the RB will p155 all over it all day long, this is down to the torque and power delivery not the peak power figure.
Rossi did you get an RB25 in the end? 36bhp????????? f@@k ME that must be mental!!!!
No couldn't get pistons so took advise from JB tuning and they built me a RB 240

and yes it is mental but you can ride it around town in 4th at 30mph no problem, I rode the DACTEK 250LC at the weekend which is built for touring nice bike and a lot of torque, but not for me, I like mine with a big kick in the ass when it comes on power !!! and to be honest it felt a lot quicker due to the power delivery I reckon.

Don't give up on the TS1 and knee-jerk in favour of an RB. I have ridden some brilliant TS1's recently. We're really in a purple patch of TS1 tuning at the moment with tuners able to get 28-30
rideable bhp out of these barrels.
I know of a tuner who was handed a TS1 that made a reputed 33bhp after having the cases welded amd ported. Measured on another dyno, it made just 24bhp. The barrel was then fettled (porting work only, making the best of the weld-work) and made 36bhp without becoming a point-and-shoot scooter. As you can imagine, all parties were very happy, especially the new tuner who hadn't seen 36bhp out of a TS1 before (torque in the mid 20's).
As I say, it's a really good time for TS1 tuning. We're at the pinnacle of development, with the right knowledge, the right experience and right tools for the right people to deliver the goods.
Can't ride under 50 in 4th could be an inappropriate choice of gearing, or the combination of incompatible parts (exhaust, carb, port timings). If all else fails, a V force reed and Agusto box will make a huge difference, but a TS1 should be a joy to ride with 20bhp and should still be very rideable at 30bhp.

I agree mine is 36.5 bhp and 26lbs/ft of torque with a fransspeed race pipe, I can ride it at 35-30mph in 4th with no problems and then drop a ear and gas it and end up with a massive smile when you hit the power band at 4-4500 rpm

I suppose it depends on the engine builder and tuner and what you ask them to do for you, but I am well happy with mine

Having worked for Jb for two years I never saw a bolt on rb22 make 27bhp. More like 22 max. Maybe john's dyno reads very different to everybody elses?
