Re opening this thread.
The GP wouldn't start this morning. I've got really bad carb problems. Up to half throttle it's really horrible, boggy as f@@k. Past half throttle too lean. But that's another story. I say this because Jarv asked me to check if my choke was maybe sticking open, but today I took the choke off and it's exactly the same. boggy as f@@k.
But it's back to square one as the choke not working again. I'm not going to be able to get my headset choke working for some time. But now with two problems I can't seem to get anywhere. The carb set up is something else, but my worry is getting the choke sorted as in 4 weeks time I don't want to be stuck somewhere in the middle of the night unable to restart the GP.
Please Make Me a Pull Out Choke. I mean it this Time!

you put your choke plunger in [with the spring and cable adjuster fitted, but no cable] and it was no different...?
is the choke lever staying on now ?
what else has changed since it was running ok to kelso...?

The lever stays on (just) without the cable connected.is the choke lever staying on now ?
It always was a bit rich up to half throttle, but now it's bad. I've dropped the clip to one up from the bottom to try and richen it above half throttle, but it's still too lean at just past half throttle.what else has changed since it was running ok to kelso...?
The slide has a bit of wear & there's a tiny bit of play.
I am really lost as to what to do. I'll have to wait to get slides as they're almost £35 and I'll need to buy at least 2 or 3.
