Ricspeed, currently the DIY air cooled essential bits come out at £147. Donor parts on Ebay, if you bid smart could come out at about £70. (I assume you'd have your own mag flange to modify yourself). If you were a lucky bright bunny, you could be in for a whisker over £200.
DIY water cooled is where it gets stupidly cheap £63!

Not just the fan, the lever costs quite a bit even though it is small (water cooled don't use them). Also, DIY means you do the mag and rotor mods, this isn't cheap. Are you surprised about the fan?

I've drawn up the CAD for a KDX crank and mag to take this set up, is that yours? I didn't know the end customer's name.

Yes, the absolute lowest is currently £63. I work on set margins from an exact bill of materials. If EOQ's (economic order quantities) stay at 5pcs then the price is not going to change. If EOQ's go up to 10, 15 or 20 then the price comes down quite a lot.

OK, when the time comes let me know how you have fitted the crank in and I'll work out the dimensions for a conversion centre boss. The KDX has a short narrow flywheel taper so it required a bit of jeggery pokery to get it to fit in. All these conversions are slightly different let me know how you go and what you decide.
