I thought that due to the layout of the rivets on it that the boss will only fit in two positions. :?: Due to the stator/flywheel having no pick up system, either of these two positions will be correct.

i have just had a look at the flywheel, and yes as you said it only fits two ways there is two gaps or two bigger than the others between the rivets these are at 180deg to each other. cheers smon

a nice man from cambridge lambretta gave me a short cut to reassembling the boss to the fan ,when the tdc arrow is at twelve o clock the keyway is at about seven o clock ,he then said in needs to be 'charlieized',oh whats that i asked ,two nice tig welds just to make it 'belt and braces' and if charlie cant shake it off with close to forty horses then your little ts should be ok,

joe, once the vegatronic flywheel is re bossed and then tried i will tig weld it up just to be on the safe side, with all the extra power you cant take any chances :shocking:   . cheers simon

It is firing too advanced so retard (clockwise) the stator, then check with a strobe. I set mine at 25 degrees fast idle. Or if the stator is in the original position have you got the boss right?
