With cuddly Ken in charge I doubt he will be throwing much money at the club. He bought Chelsea for £1 and got a decent price for the club from Abramovitch but he was running it in such a way that the wheels were about to fall off.flipster wrote:Yes, Leeds are on the way back up, but lets hope that they get the financial backing to keep em up. As a lifelong Leeds fan Im sick of the loyal fans being let down by tight ar5ed chairmen/board who won't spend on a decent squad to give the fans the quality they deserve, i hope that now we're " marchin on together" they keep on going back to the top where a club such as Leeds who have such a massive and loyal fanbase belongs! " Two more years to go before we take the Stretford/Scoreboard/Kop etc !! " OK rant over.
I am indeed a West Ham person. Donny hunters = doubtful, I've got a pathological dislike for doing anything like the commute to work unless I have to. Would have been a good run out for the series 2 but I've just taken the tanks out to give them a good clean and to fit a fuel level sender and it's doubtful I'll have it all back together for Saturday.Lam46 wrote:Mr Hepworth...at last a post on the footy thread, is it correct your a West Ham person..?, seen as your not working next sat are you coming to Donny hunters do..
That's why I don't go to football so much these days, I can't justify spending my money to subsidise the obscene salaries etc.flipster wrote:Yeah, I know what your sayin. But we [Leeds fans] go to the games week in week out, home and away, spending our hard earned only to get shat on by those in charge of the spends. I suppose thats how football is nowadays , all about money etc.I just wish that they would twig that we pay their wages and deserve value for money. When I was a lad , twer 10 bob in,a pint woz 2 bob and u cud fight outside for nowt! Happy days, jumpers for goalposts etc
Thats the prob with promotion is better players = higher salaries, problem is I cant stop going it costs me a fortune and I have to pay for my sonIan Hepworth wrote:That's why I don't go to football so much these days, I can't justify spending my money to subsidise the obscene salaries etc.
