yeah mine does, and i my clock needs re-setting aeverytime i want to use the scoot, i think i got a fault as now, when i switch lights on, the speedo restarts and im suddenly doing 20-40 mph lol guess i'll have to recheck connections.


anyone else had a problem with clock losing time?

yep, all 3 of mine can't tell the time and need re-setting each trip! It's the only downside I've found with them

So then what happens, or indeed can it be done, if the temperature sender ring is fitted underneath the cylinder head cowl bolt?
Also if the clock resets every time the engine is turned off what about the trip information?
A bit pointless if this also resets, and if it doesn't the why does the time reset? Id have thought the unit would be fitted with a small cell battery for this very reason!!!

With the sensor under the head cowl bolt you'll get a lower reading than under the plug. A good compromise is to drill a head fin and bolt it directly to it.
n.b. I said the clock needed re-setting, not the clock re-sets itself

And the trip computer doesn't reset itself, so that's OK.
I guess the reason that there is a difference between the trip and the clock is that once you have stopped and switched the scooter off, the trip doesn't need to update, however time marches on regardless and the clock doesn't with the scooter switched off.

Call me thick but - is the clock just a bad timekeeper or does the time stop at the time displayed when you switch off and then restart at that time?
i.e. you stop at 12-30 for an hour, start scoot up again and time continues from 12-30 or does it lose , say, 5 minutes in day?
I'm thinking of getting one of these and I like to know where I stand with them before I do.

The clock needs resetting if u leave your scoot un used for a period of time , which is a major pain ,,, and if your revs drop too low the speedo switches off, until the revs pick back up, apart from that they are much better than a standard speedo.... And look trick ...

LOL so it appears that half of it works half of the time, which is still a little better than a standard speedo
