Ive been messing about creating ignition curves for the kheper ignition coil and then using the RTSE1000 gauge from Gamma Technology to test how the curves have changed the characteristics of the GT big block 230.

this video shows how the GT pulls in 4th from 2200 rpm when coming off an island and just opening the throttle full bore and then how that differs from how it behaves when accelerating through the gears.

If anyone is interested ill upload a few of these with the curve used in each stated above the video.

the tarmac used is between .4 and .5 of a mile from leaving the island to the braking point.

gearing is li150 S2 with 17 x 47 sprockets giving 4.7 final drive.
curve on this one is 24 degrees from 0 to 4400 rpm then slowly dropping to 22 degrees at 4800 then dropping faster to 17 degrees at 5800 rpm then slowly dropping to 16 degrees at 7000 rpm. it then drops very slow to 14 degrees at 10000 rpm

temps look good in the video, CHT is the top left, EGT is top right, RPM top center and speed center. temps look good but I have not done a run holding it at any set speed to see if the temps gain at any given rpm/timing.

engine doesn't rev as high as it did when the scootering article was done, ive changed the piston to run with out reed windows to see what difference it would make, it hasn't been on a dyno like this so I have no idea what power its kicking out. It ran nice while on the euro though, it may not be as fast but its less mental by far ;)

That's very impressive pickup Eden, the temps do look good but expect them to rise a bit with heat soak at sustained high speed running.

150 is the highest CHT ive seen so far while on the motorway, the jetting is very rich though at the moment, that's my next set of tests to see how much I can lean it off. its got a 155 main jet in a 30mm phbh delorto currently which as most people who run one will now is silly rich lol

Impressive report Eden. Glad to hear and see you've done the Davos trip without any prob.... Kheper seems to work fine...
