200 running rough

engine only running with choke on is a good sign of main jet blocked.............in fact take carb apart thoroughly clean in petrol/parafin, blow all jets through with air line and re-assemble making sure that all parts are scrupulously clean on re-assembly.....................


P.S. also ensure that atomiser has not unscrewed..........happened to me once.

do you know anybody else with the same spec scoot as yours so you could borrow there carb to see how yours runs then ?

my jetex too had a 'boggy' problem,found a lump of plastic stuck i main jet.

cleaned and fine after that.

Thanks for all the replys!

i have since stripped the carb, cleaned it, rebuilt it, same again

i then fitted another carb from a friends scooter, same problem

have spoken to another guy who recons its the oilseal thats away, so is planning some surgery in the coming weeks!

yes found out the problem!

the guy who fixed it said that it had a bearing and seal from a gp fitted onto the sx crank, which caused the seal to eventually blow

was rebuilt and so far its ok!
