Ai, when I got the barrel honed he also put a nice chamfer on the bottom of the exhaust port. Afterwards I went round the transfer ports and top of the exhaust port with a wee file and some emery. Let's hope the rings last for more than 500 miles this time.....

Mine was a classic 225 rapido, i heard all the scare stories about poor piston/rings so went with the race-tour piston.
I changed the rings at 500 miles after running it in
on Jb's dyno and a thrash to France
the second set were in for 2500 miles and it only came apart because i am having a RT255 built.
Cezeta is now using the cylinder, head and piston in one of his engines
I used a 24mm mikuni and saw 60mpg on runs.
