I guess most of the California Lambrettists have come over here to the Scooterotica forums so you could ask them as they've been running Mikuni carbs for more than 20 years out there. Or you could try the forum at Paisans.org. I used to run a Mikuni TM34 on my err, Vespa P210 Malossi that was set up correctly with fuel pump and I never had leaning out issues with that scooter which I used to ride all over the LA freeways for long distances at a time at speed. Most TS1's out there that I've seen run TMX 35s and one I know was running a TMS 38 (Nyle's SuperLight)
