I have the Mb manifold and the rubber and carb came from WCLW i have never had a problem with the carb moving

me too, its a b@5t@rd to get off.

I think by cutting a groove in the manifold, when you tighten the rubber down it will "seat" (compress) into the groove and hold itself in place.
