Went out the morning to have another look and for whatever reason, the back light and brake light work. A bit frustrating without knowing the cause. I'll keep a close eye on it.

Check yer bulb as they can be faulty and intermittant, happened to me at the MOT station. I always use a multi meter now as previously suggested..
