You don't make or sell damper studs then?

morning!
what is a little bit curious about this issue is, that no one ever came with warranty issues to bgm.
the problem with braking studs seems to be a problem of insufficient studs to me. when the kawasaki steeering dampers were used on the Lambretta, it was a common problem that the threads/lugs in the fork links were destroyed by the too hard dampening action.
so if anyone ever had a problem with snapping bolts used with bgm front dampers, please send me an email so we can check the problem. and for sure i will sent out -free of charge- a quality set of MBD fork link studs!
cheers philipp

I've also never had one complaint of BGM dampers or MB fork damper studs. None. Nada. Zero. Zip. Zilch. If we did, I can guarantee we (MB, SCK (BGM), Jet200) would be taking steps to solve any issue.

I have the Kawasaki dampers on my scooters, as do a few of my mates. We've had no issues but have up graded to scooterloopy Johns thicker diameter studs and welded on top brackets.

As I pointed out on another thread..... the BGM dampers are commonly used on quite a few of the leading Group 4 Race Scooters including my own.
As far as I know no race bike has suffered any failure....... and there are several places where there is extremely heavy braking into hairpins.... certainly way bigger stresses than on the road.
If there were damper studs bending then personally I would say it must be a combination of poor stud quality / too hard damper settings!

ive had a remade bottom stud break.
it was new, not sure what make as i picked them up ar wickstead park. i was using scoot rs stainless dampers and the stud snapped on the first run round the block.
i assumed it was either because of crap Chinese metal or that the scoot rs dampers damp in both directions or a combination of both, but I may have overtightened them too.
both studs and dampers are on the shelf in my shed with only a mile on them and i fitted fat escort ones and new studs from taffspeed.
i have also seen them bend when the rubbers push to one side leaving the metal sleeve at an angle. also in the days of sheds full of parts links always had broken studs so they must have snapped due to seized nuts on disassemble or something?
