I went to pick a barral up from Ralph Saxilbys house late last year and after he,d shown my his collection of reject bricks  , i asked him about MX5 which i use in my RB, after he finnished swearing  he told my there wasnt any need to use anything better than Putoline TT sport in a Lambretta engine, i still use MX5 as i get 4ltrs for £30, but would use TT sport on ralphs recomendation :D .

Hein Gericke oil 2-stroke fully synthetic 1 litre £7.99
Hein Gericke oil 2-stroke semi synthetic 1 litre £4.99
I called my local store told the guy what i wanted and he laughed don't waste your money, the high end fully synthetic oils are for high stress high revving (11k and above) engines, so their semi or anybody else's mid spec oil is fine for us.
So that's a saving of £12 a litre for me
