got in touch with the guy and posed the question first, he makes himself from scratch. Caliper from solid piece of aluminium, piston machined from solid stainless with uk sourced seal and HEL stainless banjo bolt machined down to fit under i cap, done in-house

That's fairy nuff.

checked on piaggio site for the typhoon disc caliper, they use 2x30mm pistons on there front caliper, now obviously with an inboard lammy brake you have only one piston and you are limited to your diameter, but not with your depth

the rule quoted by willwood engineering who seem to be highly regarded in car race brakes '' The caliper piston volume must match the master cylinder bore size and pedal leverage to realize peak performance from the system''

an original inboard system will always be limited due to its ancient design, but this rule applies to all outboard brakes and rear hydraulic conversions.

there is a big belief on these forums that the hidden master option is less effective due to cable, many moving parts etc. i am sure this is true, but i think the large master cylinder bore vs the small caliper bore is the big factor here.

maybe this is the reason for so many conflicting reports from various riders...

The seller looks like Andy Horn who as far as of I know came up with these in the first place. I have made these too and they just dont work as well as the real thing. You maybe better off with reverse pull.

Charlie Edmonds uses inboard hydraulic with handlebar mounted master cylinder. He does use modified EBCdisc and pads though, so maybe they are the weak point and not the hydraulics?

If you put a flat on both sides of the adjuster it should go though, or you could file the D shape out in the lug. Long long time since I have done anything like this.
