I would say there isn't much difference...byron wrote:so the BGM did fare better than the SIL stator.
which is something
This is drawing around 97w give or take.byron wrote:@ tickover with std lights and one pathfinder ~ -4.0A
Whist this is drawing 125w, with 35w h.lamp, 55w H7, 26w brake &tail + speedo & pilot @ 9w
I think this is dissappointing for the BGM at the moment, but would be interested to see some readings at higher RPM if possible Byronsoulsurfer wrote:1500rpm (tickover) -4.5A

All interesting stuff though and hopefully will come to a great conclusion.
Turn On, Tune In, Cop out!
i will ask if we can borrow the rev counter wand m8
Wondering if you need to factor in a worse case condition, lights on, and brake light with the horn sounding for true total current draw?

the brake light & horn are used only briefly, so I thought they wouldn't need to be included in these calculationsCANbus wrote:Wondering if you need to factor in a worse case condition, lights on, and brake light with the horn sounding for true total current draw?

you may well be correct Byron, it may be useful information for Mark to pass onto the rewind company was my thinking.

stator was rewound and returned to me F.O.C.,fitted toaday and it was a lots better than before
no engine running just lights 110-120 watts it was pulling 6.8 amps out of battery
at tickover 1200rpm -5.6 amps
1500rpm -4.5
2200rpm -2.6
3000rpm -0.7
40000rpm even
upto 80000rpm 1.3
4000rpm with my box = 40 mph ish so its nearly there
spoke to them and they said to send it back and they will redo it again for me to test next wed.
im confident the next one will be exactley what i want .

This is one of the best thought out and informative electrical posts to date... well done to all involved...
