Nothing wrong with Vespa’s or Lambretta’s I have both and love em all for different reasons………but if I was to compare any of my scoots to a fecking metro it would be my teeth rattling TS1 and not my silky smooth 20bhp Vespa.

Don’t understand the Vespa prejudice ( That’s Vespa, not vethpa or any other retarded abbreviation for the word Vespa)

Ride safe Gentlemen
I own Lambrettas and ride them, I have ridden loads good and bad, but one of the best scooters I ever had the pleasure to ride was a little Vespa 125 Primmy, very smooth & nimble and it was one of the quickest scooters I have ever ridden... 8-)

I just remembered, I still have a small frame Vespa, a little red 50 Special with only 4 kilometers on the clock. I put it in mothballs when I bought it, might get it out and start it up... 8-)

Ride safe
I knew that -really ;)

But do you not think that the lambretta handles better?
I always felt the smallframes I had were great machines for chucking about (until i got too top heavy) and I always enjoyed riding Large frames (insert your own puns there) but I do think I prefer the Lammy beats the Vespa in the handling stakes, I feel much much more confident chucking the Lammy into corners.

Or is it just a case of getting used to what you ride? would any scooter feel 'crap' if it was new to you? until you got used to things like clutch, brakes etc?

I had a dozen or so primmies lots of fun in the traffic, :D

but the thing that I remember was,

it was like sitting on a very high speed bar stool,
"twitchy",.....that`s the word that comes to mind.

I never liked the way Lambretas handled. I can`t put my finger on it. I just never liked the Lambrettas. It`s what you get used to, And I never got used to Lambrettas.

Though I totaly understand why people like the way Lambrettas handle.

The one thing that realy took my by surprise was the way that fast Primmies bend when you go into a corner, or the way that they willingly lift the front end when you get on a quick one
