Any one else selling RS in the UK or should I go to Morcombe and see what they have?

I have recently fitted a Spaq kit to a bike i was working on and looked over a new ScootRS kit with anti-dive close up.
even with the import duty sting, they worked out about the same price.
if it was my money i'd been ordering direct from Asia.
i have been using a ScootRS on mine for 9000 miles, no problems at all.

Sterling can be dangerous copies of Lambretta parts IMO. Also used by the not so well known dealers in the UK.

i have used the rs and sterling with no problems for many years, and have completed many miles with no problems

the only fault i have found is the speedo drive can get mashed on the rs type but they are good value for money

at the end of the day anything that stops the scooter is a good thing. i think the two products are safe but saying that whatever you buy its got to be correctly fitted and not abused
the bad comments always come from :?:sources and people playing one dealer against enougher or the dealers doing the same ,the sterling products are not perfect but are not bad for the money.i have seen arguments for the two ,and there must loads of people who have experianced good and bad
i
happy days

I think you've hit the nail on the head yourself.
Use a good dealer and they wont have the crap on the shelf to sell you in the first place ;)
Having fitted the the two for customers for me the ScootRS one is the better made , when stripping the coating off you can see how good the casting is.

I've got a Sterling on my Series II. I didn't even know the difference with a RS and Sterling until I read posts here on other threads. I have not had a problem other than a mashed speedo drive. I am from Ireland and I bought mine from Cam Lam, who are a well known dealer. I have bought other stuff from Scootrs and I find there stuff to be decent quality. It's the Fed Ex hidden cost at the end that makes me reluctant to buy from RS. It just drives the cost up. And the shipping costs are bad enough already. Go have a look at the Sterling one and talk to the dealer. If you get a feeling he is trying for a quick sale then walk away. If he has any morales he'll put you right.

I don't know about buying stuff from Cam Lam these days but I once got an exhaust from them in a large cardboard box with no packing and the tail pipe hanging out, so i never bothered with them anymore  . I would imagine your best bet would be to get a disc brake directly from Scootrs.
