Re: Best quality parts for TS rebuild

Just thought I would add a little to this, A few years back I asked at the local FAG bearing stockist if there was a better bearing available for the drive side and enquired about the rubber sealed drive bearings, back then I was advised to use a non rubber sealed 6305 as the plain bearing was available with larger bearings fitted which would increase the strength of the bearing over the sealed type as these have to use a smaller bearing than some of the non sealed bearings to allow the fitment of the seals if the ball bearing were made larger then they would also be wider preventing the fitment of the seals.
Things may now have changed, and the bearings could for my knowledge all be running similar sized ball bearings as I havnt checked up on specs in such detail since then...
But this is the main reason why I always prefered standard 6305 C3 bearings to sealed bearings... If you check out current specs and its now different, then please let me know... but there are many different 6305 bearings with differing applications in mind...
I think the JU2205 has a top hat style inner race so I am not sure its suitable..
