Rubbers grommets/lugs...?
you use a round one for a slot, there is a maths aproach to what size but nobody bothers and just uses string around the edge of the hole then re arranges it into a circle, measures across and thats the size grommet you want. they are rubber so just fit to the shape of the hole eith round or oval.
