I remeber when doing ma' City and Guilds, being told that within 20 years engines would be all ceramic and disposable.
That was in '84, so it should be happening any minute now :biggrin:

They blow up, put a great big gouge in the bore then you throw them away and buy a new one

Sounds like a nice tourer, could you post the graph to see how the power is delivered?

I had a leaflet come with a recent MB order and it does sound tempting, but on their website it says it's nicasil lined yet on the leaflet it says ceramic lined So, ceramic or nicasil and does it make any difference?

Its because MB used to get their barrels replated at Aptech who ceramic line and now get them done at Langcourts who do nicasil
