Yeah, the lambretta (RallyMaster up there) from a shop called Lambrettability.
We drive on the wrong side here because Japan initially got its rail technology from Great Britain.
So, see? Copying people and their technology is what we do best! Of course, two of the "carbon copy" Japanese are, um, actually, not Japanese... Gordon and David (not me another one), from Birmingham and.... forgot where David is from. Good guys, been in the scene in the UK and here a long time.

ArmandTanzarian - jeez, how is that you could be so up on Japanese law?! You are indeed correct - no riding in groups of 10 (?) or more two-wheelers. Damn "bososoku" riding on wound-up plastic 50cc things can take the credit for that. THUS - no big ride-out or anything this year. Yet to see how the law is enforced - we'd like to think that the local gendarme can spot the difference...

Cool! your honeymoon in Japan! Hope you newlyweds made it out to see the country!
The scooter at 3:41 is a standard fenderlight modified/customized as a "Sei Girono" (six day) competition scooter.
Hard to find good information on the actual model in English, but here is a link to a photo of an original. Extra gas tank, beefier suspension (I am told) and other mods to it. These were made by Piaggio and there are some originals out there in some private collections, though probably none that I'll ever see!

BTW: I like the perfection and style of japanese scooterists, scooters and scene, which imho is not a copy anymore but become something of its own.

Hello MiNiKiN! First, I agree with you on the scene here - a lot of the people I ride with here have been on scooters (e.g., Vespa/Lambrettas) for over 20 years, some much longer. Clearly a different feel here than other scenes I have participated in.

Ok, that GS150 VS5.... it is going to be insane. The owner did a really nice job adding the left side - took a lot of measuring, then some very careful welding. Amazingly, it actually rides straight and solid. He is also working on a water-cooled engine. Going about it very slowly and deliberately... I'll contact him and try to get more details. This ought to turn out to be a rather interesting scooter! The black GS 150 is his buddies - was featured in Scootering a year or so ago. A little healthy competition, eh?
