I got my mother-in-law's friend to knock this up a few months ago, after the LCGB Coast-to-Coast. The padding inside is 1" high density "chip" foam and 1" memory foam on top. I know it's ugly but trust me, it works.

Having said that, if you stocked them, I might beat a path to your door....
Usually, I don't have too much of a problem with standard bench seats: my fat arse tends to be OK with them. The problem with this GP coffin lid seat is/was that it's more than 35 years old. The foam under the cover has completely disintegrated so you're sitting on springs. It's fine for 30 or 40 miles but after that...
The beauty of this pad is you can whip it off when you get to your destination and stick it in the tent or the B&B. It also acts as a great kneeler if you have to work on your bike at the side of the road.

can´t stand uncomfy original seats anymore and have put the original seat covers in a corner. i think an italian repro (casa) seatcover looks better at the end than the
genuine aged anorak item with some crap strapped onto...
