Put it on last night and it looks massive on a series 3, hopefully it will look better once the backrest etc is on... having said that I did expect it to be long (more room for the wife!) but I didn't expect it to be so deep. Seems to be well comfortable though but wont have the scoot back together to test it till Friday/Saturday.

I got my mother-in-law's friend to knock this up a few months ago, after the LCGB Coast-to-Coast. The padding inside is 1" high density "chip" foam and 1" memory foam on top. I know it's ugly but trust me, it works.

That'd be a step too far.corrado wrote:Bet you've got those handlebar muffs too Nic with heated grips.
Usually, I don't have too much of a problem with standard bench seats: my fat arse tends to be OK with them. The problem with this GP coffin lid seat is/was that it's more than 35 years old. The foam under the cover has completely disintegrated so you're sitting on springs. It's fine for 30 or 40 miles but after that...
The beauty of this pad is you can whip it off when you get to your destination and stick it in the tent or the B&B. It also acts as a great kneeler if you have to work on your bike at the side of the road.
can´t stand uncomfy original seats anymore and have put the original seat covers in a corner. i think an italian repro (casa) seatcover looks better at the end than the
