glad your sorted,
keep your eyes out for the aldi compressor comes with spray gun, air leads, blow gun
( I used to replace a much bigger clarke one, its small and takes no space up compared to the old old, I have gone back to it after having crap professional work done)
I have got a vespa to do, after correcting the sprayers oversights on my lambretta.
you can find many uses for it, most usefully the blow gun for dry cleaning parts

i've used rattle cans on my cars before now,warm up the panels and the can too,just watch how long you warm upthe can tho,i had one that the bottom popped outwards cos i left it too long!!!!....bit of a pressure build up me thinks!! lol

Sorry for not answering sooner, but yes, that was the one I used. I've now finished the paint and I'm reasonably happy with it. The gun worked very well. I thinned the paint a little bit more than suggested in order to get it to flow as I thought it seemed a bit too thick. In hinsight this may not have been necessary as I got a few runs
all easily flatted out.

This is the almost finished effort______wish I hadn't found that tin of ochre now to be honest, it would have looked better in all red
I'll save up and leave it to the professionals next time
Colin, I'd suggest we don't park next to each other in the bright sunlight in Spain

That looks bloody great Paul
I really like ochre, it was my favourite of the GP and Vega colours when they were launched in the late 60's.
