Tino is basically a well funded hobbyist. His interests seem to wax and wane.... as do his prices. It's a shame really, some of the products are outstanding.
Last year at the mostra scambio in Novegro I asked him about some trouble I was having with my Varitronic (by then it was just having some misfyring, which got cured with some earthing). He grabbed a brand spanking new Varitronic kit, placed it inside a box and told me: "There you go, if you cannot make yours work, you can have this one. If you can make it work, just send it back."
My kit actually split in half months later, had nothing to do with the sputtering, it literally split, the flywheel boss split off from its magneto part. I haven't said a word to Tino. I just sent his new kit back when I was in Sicily this summer. Eventhou the kit isn't great (I strongly don't reccomend it for a touring machine) and I will never buy it again, all my respects to him. At least he is an honest bloke, who seems to have fun with what he does.
