I just picked one of these up to fit to my next project

my kept together for over 2000 miles, and [afaik] is still going fine with the new owner.
I'm always careful about how I fit an exhaust; try not to let it be under any stress. loosely fitting it first, then running the engine a bit to let it settle into a natural position, then tightening the mounting nuts before finally tightening the clamp.

From memory, weren't there 2 Ancillottis launched at the same time. Was one the Sito made one, sold by CamLam, and was the other sold by Scooter Surgery, and made by ?

I always get confused by which is which. Out of interest, which type is this that has destroyed itself?

Yeah still going fine Jarv - although it may be coming off when I get my SR190 reed kit finished........ :baddevil:

Totally agree about fitting the pipe without stressing any of the mounting points. I enlarged the main bracket holes too.

Works ok, sounds nice, but i'm waiting for the brackets to start shearing..........

Mine was the Evergreen one from Tino Sacchi with the stainless u-bend

Yes, mine was the same as yours red ghost.

Ended up taking a large round file to it to get rid of the excess metal.....

I was crabbing on Cromer Pier with my mates and won the "largest crab of the day award"

I was made up.... as you can tell.

I can't help but think that the good old AF Clubman is a far better choice in terms of reliability and cost. I don't really notice enough difference in performance to warrant the price hike that the ancillotti demands.

I've got a clubman thats been on and off my scoots for the last 4 years and has covered thousands of miles without a hiccup. £60 well spent.

I would never have considered an ancillotti until you offered me yours at a vastly reduced price!

When it dies, i'll be heading back down the AF route I reckon. (or even buy and indian big bore kit from SR and stick it together myself.)

I have just bought a Ancillotti ,cant check the gear oil level,touches on the bung!
