Hello boys,
Adding to Perry's comments, the factory was always receptive with whatever was cooking on the other side of the Alps. If tv was what was going on on the Spanish market in that moment, then the tv200 badging sounded suitable. However, the reason for using some Italian components and not whole engines, like in the case of the early TV Series 2, was that Franco had nationalized the production of motorvehicles, being able to have only a 30% of the vehicle produced in foreign lands.
To end, just say that I have several photos of the period taken by a sports fotographer from Barcelona, don't know what year exactly 65-66 of tv's participating in cycling events. Seems feasable that they wanted to try out these machines on these events, as its is proven that the same thing was done in Italy with the Giro d' Italia, as it has been shown to me this summer in Calabria, on my meet with the Lambretta Club Calabria.
Regards,
Jaime
