17/17 sound perfect. i do like riding it as i cane it everywhere and there are no suprises so more of what it does will be fine
i got some feedback today that 15bhp out of the box with a 25mm delorto and clubmant was achieved using a 60mm crank and a base packer so with a fettle it should work well.
replay have had 22bhp from them too using a packer and recessed head like the rt
id rather have an rt barrel but ive got this and cant see anyone giving me 500 for it......though im open to offers

Always thought these were good bolt on kits straight out of the box, obviously not.Its s**t when you pay good money and still have to fuk around with them to get them good.

not wrong there specialy when you are advised to use the kit as an improvement to a stage 4 sil set up for it to be slower
i was going to buy a rapido but was talked the other way.

i have a muggy 225 sat in my garage that i plan to use at some time, ive cut 3mm off the inlet skirt and shaped the ex port a little squarer...its an early kit without the boost port.....but im reading with concern why these kits dont perform?
wot port timings are best for these kits to make them go?
cant believe that a 300quid plus kit makes less bhp than a iron 200

from what i have read the 225 still does not come with a boost port and is based on STANDARD port timings with a slightly enlarged exhaust port.
its probably best suited to an sx200 that needs to be more reliable. i think the problem is that the 186 is so successfull that we all expect the 225 to be better still.
i cant keep up with standard p2 s

Hi Mick, thanks for the offer but its Cezeta who has the issue,im lucky to have an old iron road tuned kit which works unlike some of the crap on sale nowadays that you still need to play with to get to work.

the reality of this idea is a parts list of over £1000 plus labour either mine or someone elses.
i cant spend that kind of money, the ts1 cost £2k so thats me out of funds and out of stuff to ebay. the key to this is to get the power you have from your rapido with the bits ive got.
no disrespect to mb but the rt is what the mugello should have been out of the box. to mbs credit the rt seems to be THE ONLY kit ......in the world......that does not need fixing. but as a well known tuner recently said "its s**t kits that keep us tuners in business"

I've only just come back to the scene this last year, but I'm blown away just how much fettling and modification is needed to get aftermarket engine parts up to a fit standard to use - and I'm not talking about cheap eBay rubbish either!

I find the performance from this kit to be staggering. I have a mate with a Muggy 225 that's not far off a TS1. it hasn't had anything outrageous done to it and who knows what version but 12bhp+ is acheivable from fitting a small block GT186 kit out of the box. I'm baffled by this one.
