I got an electric shock when i switched my lights on? Help!

Anything related to Lambrettas... ask tech questions, post helpful info, or just read and learn.

If the green wire was touching touching the frame the scooter would'nt run as the ignition would be earthed. If the green was shorting inside the switch to its casing then the paint on the headset would insulate it, but when you touch it you complete the earth path.

I found that the yellow wire inside the headset is the one that gives me an electric shock. I have disconnected it for now. Maybe the feed from the green is shorting out inside the switch? How does this sound?
I don't want to keep up with modern traffic. I want to hoon past it, preferably on one wheel!
