This is exactley how I see it too Sean, I love my scooters to look as standard as possible but also with a slight hint that it aint all it supposed to be under the panels , My scoot looks totally standard except for the JL hanging out the back.

Thats why I liked the look of the intake surround from rich presley, it looks quite stock but will help the scooter perform that little bit better.

never let the ANORACKS grind you down matey......................
they would always like you to run drum brakes,points ignition,std carbs,exhausts...........and of course uncut panels..............
and expect you to ride at 50mph flat out.................... :lol:

Me an anorak?? how stereotypical!! of course I am :biggrin: :P you should have seen my stock DL125 fly along the sea front this morning on the way to the station pushing out an earth shattering 30mph'ish (wind negligable) :bouncing: maybe I need some hand cut dremmel types holes?? each to their own, just having a bit of fun....makes it worse as all the club now have TS1's!! taxi!!!! :shock:

I say, cut the hole. :frog: There's plenty of uncut museum pieces to drool over but for a more rideable scooter if yours needs the hole in the panel, cut it. 8-)
