You will always have a gap between 3rd and 4th, its not an auto.
The italian LI 150 is an excellent gear set and is the recommended gearbox of dealers like MB.
The indian gp200 has a smaller gap between 3rd and 4th than the italian gp200 box maybe thats what you heard from Taffspeed.
You said yourself that the bloke you spoke to at Taffspeed had to ring to another bloke (Ian)to get you an answer, sounds like a round of chinese whispers to me.
Please remember that just because a dealer has Speed in its name it doesn't meen that they are god or that everyone that works there is equally talented and can get the info they have in their head across to you on the phone.
The LI150 box is a good strong box with good gear spaceing, keep it and buy a 15t sprocket. :!:

Obviosly if its a failure prepare to be abused, all in the nicest possible way of course.... ;)

Have a look in the gearing section of Stickys book all this info is there.
Also have a look at the scooterhelp.com gearing calculator.
If it was me I would still flog the NK touring pipe on ebay and buy an NK race or Franspeed race

Why are you off to Snetterton racing? Tried a NK race and it was cack, to high revving and if there was a 2 mile an hour head wind 4th was a complete loss. To much agg riding in town but a laugh through 2nd and 3rd granted....thats why there £170.... :D

The NK mid isnt quite as mad but still all top end...

The NK Race has everything a NK touring has and then some more.
The RB 20 is a racey/revvy kit. I can't see the point in buying one then putting a low revving pipe on to detune it.
The NK race didn't work because you were over geared at 4.9, and it doesn't sound like the NK tourer worked any better.
Try the NK touring with the 5.2 gearing, then if you want more ,buy a better pipe.

The Indian GP200 has a very close 3/4 gap but is let down a little by the yawning 2/3 gap. If you've a very revvy engine it won't bridge this gap too well. 1st, 2nd, and 4th are the same as the Italian GP200, LI125S box but with 3rd gear raised toward 4th. LI150 or the Italian box are better.

I know the 150 boxes are rated as the best all rounder but with current set up and nk its just not pulling in 4th. will try the diff sprocket set up tomorrow with 150 box and iffno improvemnt ill try an Indian GP. Hopefully wont come to that.
