the thing that i'm sure is that the main jet is 110 , no idea about needle and other component ...
the gearing is the original lince 200 (sx200 ??) , but years ago i use to drive a '69 jet/sx200 with an iron 225 linked to a 42 big bore and 20 original carb for town and 28 mikuni for road , nearly always 2 up with my beloved half and no problems , 70mph all the way ...

Theres your answer my friend
either fit this kind of exhaust or change your gearing to suit your current pipe..........

I've got an Indian 225 kit that's been tidied up by Harry Barlow. It's only just been put together and now going for an MOT before I can properly run it in and give any figures on performance. Harry's recommendation was to use a 22mm carb through a GP airbox and use a 42mm Clubman exhaust. The (relatively) small carb was recommended to keep the intake air velocity reasonably high as these kits seem to have a large inlet area (or at least mine does) which could slow the charge down. The good thing is the price of 22mm Jetexes are so cheap you can afford to play around. Harry also supplied jets for the carb which are 50 pilot, 5899-1 atomiser and 140 main jet, the main jet might need changing depending on final settings so a 135 and 145 were supplied too.

I ramped up the gearing to 4.7 (20/47 with a GP200 box) as it'll need to pull tallish gears to make the kit worthwhile with all the other low revving components. A quick blast up and down the road showed that the gearing seems fine in the low range, much torquier than the previous setup of SIL stg4 200, 18/47, 28mm PHBH and PM25 exhaust. I doubt it'll be faster overall than this previous setup but it should be a more relaxed ride, suited to the Series 2 it is going into eventually.
