There's a really good 'how to' online. You drill out the bit on the hub and put the long threaded bit of the cable adjuster through it put a nylock on the end. The critical bit is cutting the outer casing of the brake cable. It's best to cut it a bit long then trim it back bit by bit.
It works as normal, but under heavy braking the weight of the bike on the suspension gives extra braking force, so it's not really used except in a situation where you really need it
