Most of the conversion housings have the mounting holes at 90 degrees and are designed to be used with modified cylinders where a hole has been drilled and tapped into the base of the master cylinder itself. This forces you to use either the standard type supplied ready modified for the housing, which are generally a bit on the large side, or to feck about trying to modify another type.

You don't find many housings that fit the cylinder on with two bolts at 180 degrees like most motorcycles, that's what made me take a look at the one further up in the thread. It opens up the options for many more 'neater' cylinders.
