yeah, you're probably right, mate. I know the pistons move freely and aren't just about to seize on. Cheers, lads

if the pads are just touching the disc lightly it should not be a problem ,is the caliper square to the disc ? are pads touching at the top or bottom of the disc?

Pads are touching right across. As far as I can see the calipers are square to the disc, and everything is as it should be (I have another ScootRS disc which doesn't catch. I've compared it with that).

To the naked eye the disc looks straight when revolving. However, for about 1/5 or 1/4 of the rotation the pads are free, they catch for about 3/4. I suppose this may indicate that the disc is very slightly wharped?

possible hub may have paint on the disk mounting face :?:

I did think about that, and that I'd not put the speedo housing on square when I changed the speedo drive. Seems Ok though. Think I'll move on to setting the carb up, and hope it settles down. Thanks for your help, mate ;)
