OK Im back, I've gone for an ancillotti style seat from Martin but as you can see from the photos it's not going to do me which is a shame as it seems a great seat, but...

If you compare the seating area you can see on the snetterton it ends behind the shock top

but the ancillotti (due to the hump) ends well in front of it :-(

Can't you bolt the front two seat holes to the back two frame holes - that'd move it back a couple of inches?

Just had a look and the main problem with that is that only 2 bolts will hold down the front of the seat when flipped up for filling with petrol.

Drill two new holes for the back bolts on the seat mount?

Quite a lot of seats [including the £300 Giuliara I just got] have a front bracket with only 2 holes so can't see that being an issue. Mind you at best that's only give you an extra couple of inches. Ooh Matron.
